A 44-year-old man was arrested by the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department on suspicion of attempted murder for suddenly attacking a woman in her twenties on her way home on the streets of Katsushika-ku, Tokyo, and injuring her by strangling her neck.

The person arrested was Masaaki Kumada (44), whose address is unknown and whose occupation is unknown.
