561 new hospitalizations

Regarding the situation in hospitals, on January 19, 1,317 people were hospitalized for Covid-19 in New Aquitaine, including 172 in intensive care or intensive care (against 1,182 and 153 respectively the previous week).

There are 561 new hospitalizations in week 2 (against 492 in week 1) while the number of new intensive care admissions is stable (73 against 78 the previous week).

Three-quarters (74%) of hospitalized patients are over 70 years old.

A third of patients (33.3%) are hospitalized in Gironde.
