Météo France placed the Gironde, Landes and Pyrénées-Atlantiques on Thursday in orange vigilance for strong winds until Friday.

"A depression called" Hortense "is widening in the Bay of Biscay and progressing towards the Aquitaine coastal departments from the end of the night from Thursday to Friday, explains Météo France.
