Since Thursday, the ARS Hauts-de-France has suspended the appointment for vaccination against the coronavirus in the region.

Instructions have been given to the centers of vaccination centers not to open any more appointment slots for first-time vaccinees.

Other meetings will be rescheduled during the month of March.

Except for additional supplies by then, 37% of the appointments already made are concerned.

Not enough vaccine doses available

The reason for this postponement?

Lack of vaccine doses available.

In early January, 124,250 doses were distributed in the region.

Not enough to meet the strong demand especially with already more than 55,000 vaccinated in Hauts-de-France, it will be necessary to reserve doses of vaccine for a second injection to this public.

The ARS specifies that these measures do not concern establishments welcoming the elderly such as nursing homes for example.
