The employees of the sports daily have decided to renew their strike movement, which began in early January, to protest against a management savings plan involving job cuts.

The proposals made to them did not convince either the unions or the troops.

Sports fans have now been deprived of their favorite daily life for 12 days.

Twelve days, therefore, without an

in newsstands or online.

The management has however formulated new proposals to try to put an end to the movement: a maintenance of the social plan with better starting conditions, or a plan of collective conventional breaks accompanied by a plan of competitiveness.

As a reminder, the newspaper's management wants to cut 47 journalist positions - 35 with 12 scheduled hires - and eight administrative positions.

"A balance of power"

Management now calls on employees to position themselves on one of these two options.

But neither one nor the other convinces the unions, who denounce the attitude of their interlocutors.

"The management did not understand the state of the troops. There were 11 days of strike and the response that was made by the management is very, very short of the expectations of the employees," said the SNJ delegate. Francis Magois at Europe 1. "Why renew the strike? Because in the face, there is no solution. For two and a half months now, the management has not stopped trying to get a report by force with the staff representatives. And there, this balance of power is still there. After 11 days of strike, they still could not listen. "

Employees say they have set up a strike fund, a sign that the conflict could continue, which contrasts with the optimism displayed Tuesday by journalist Vincent Duluc on Europe 1. On Tuesday, they received the support of their colleagues from the L'Equipe channel.

But more and more viewers did not fail to point out that on the channel, there was no mention of the conflict that shakes the newspaper.
