"Arsène Lupine, gentleman burglar".

This is the hero's nickname, but it is also the title of the collection of short stories published in 1907. On the occasion of the series, Hachette Romans reissued the adventures of Arsène Lupine and the book was immediately classified in head of Amazon and Fnac best sellers.

Some 60,000 copies were reprinted, if you count the copies in pocket books.

And sales have jumped.

"We are reprinting at full speed"

The publishing house might be ready before the arrival of the series, Beatrice Duval, general manager of the Pocket Book, admits that she did not expect such success.

"I must say that we were a little overwhelmed by the extent of the phenomenon of this formidable series", smiles the editor.

"To give you an idea, in 15 days, we sold all the copies that we sell in particular over a year. So we are reprinting at full speed. It takes two or three days for the books to be reprinted, so they're all in bookstores and all available. "

Nice operation since the work of Maurice Leblanc has fallen into the public domain since 2012. And books are also part of the reading prescriptions in college.

Arsène Lupine has again carried out a heist.
