Actor Tom Hanks -
PictureLux / Starface
Due to the health crisis and the security measures taken following the assault on the Capitol, there will not be the usual festivities this Wednesday around the inauguration ceremony of Joe Biden.
Instead, a special will be broadcast simultaneously on all major US channels, as well as on social media.
Bringing the nation together to better heal and rebuild
Entitled
Celebrating America
, it will run for 90 minutes and will be presented by none other than star actor Tom Hanks.
The producers evoke a show that "will showcase the resilience, heroism and commitment of the American people to come together as a nation to better heal and rebuild."
Several musical guests will follow one another like Justin Timberlake, Jon Bon Jovi, Demi Lovato or Ant Clemons.
We also talk about Bruce Springsteen, John Legend, the Foo Fighters and Lady Gaga, who performed before the American anthem on the steps of the Capitol.
“I was speechless when they asked me to sing,” Demi Lovato wrote on Instagram.
For Ant Clemons, “it's a dream come true”.
Ant Clemons will perform the song
Better Days
in duet with Justin Timberlake.
"Our way of encouraging, at our small level, everyone to keep hope", commented the latter.
