The Okayama District Public Prosecutor's Office is not fully accused of the factory president and factory manager who were sent documents on suspicion of accidental injury in business due to an explosion accident at an aluminum factory in Soja City, Okayama Prefecture, during the heavy rains in western Japan three years ago. I did not prosecute.

Three years ago, in July, during the heavy rains in western Japan, an explosion occurred at an aluminum factory in Soja City, injuring 21 residents in the area and causing damage such as burning houses.

According to the accident, the president and the factory manager of the factory were aware of the danger of flooding during the daytime, but did not immediately instruct the shutdown, which led to the accident. In July, I was sent a document on suspicion of accidental injury on business.

Regarding this, the Okayama District Public Prosecutor's Office said, "If the work to extract the aluminum in the melting furnace was started by the evening, the explosion could be avoided, but there remains a suspicion that a large amount of inundation into the melting furnace could not be predicted at that time." On the 20th, the two were not charged due to insufficient suspicion.

The factory is not currently in operation, and the person in charge at the parent company said, "It is true that many people had a hard time at that time, but I think that this situation was partly acknowledged."
