The Tokyo Metropolitan Government has been conducting genetic analysis of all samples tested positive at health centers since late last month in order to investigate whether or not a mutated coronavirus infection is occurring in the city, and on the 14th of this month. It means that no mutated virus has been confirmed in more than 1000 cases analyzed so far.

Of the people who have been notified of infection confirmation in Tokyo, there have been seven people who have been confirmed to be infected with the mutated new coronavirus, and all of them are people who have traveled abroad or their close contacts. Other than that, it has not been confirmed.



Since the end of last month, the Tokyo Metropolitan Institute of Health and Safety has been conducting genetic analysis on all the samples brought in from the health center at the Tokyo Metropolitan Institute of Health and Safety, which were judged to be positive.

According to the city, about 1040 cases have been tested by the 14th of this month, but no mutated virus has been confirmed.
