A primary school in the metropolis of Saint-Etienne, where 26 cases of Covid-19 have been detected, has been closed since Wednesday morning for a week by decision of the Loire prefecture.

"Eight professionals and 18 children have tested positive for Covid-19 in the private primary school Notre-Dame, Saint-Genest-Lerpt," said the prefect of the Loire in a statement.
