A total of 59 people were confirmed infected on the 20th in the prefecture, and the number of infected people announced on the 1st exceeded 40 on the 9th of last month, the highest number ever.
This brings the number of infected people confirmed in the prefecture to 1,460.
Of these, Tarumizu City announced on the morning of the 20th that 37 new infected persons were confirmed at the municipal nursing care facility for the elderly "Cosmos Garden" in Kinko-cho, Tarumizu City.
According to Tarumizu City, infection was confirmed in two residents at this facility on the 18th, so a total of 172 residents and staff were subjected to PCR tests on the 19th.
