Last September, police re-arrested two Vietnamese men and women who had been arrested on suspicion of violating the Immigration Control Act for stealing a large number of pears at a pear garden in Kamikawa Town, Saitama Prefecture.

Police are also investigating whether it is related to the case where pears were stolen one after another in Saitama prefecture.

The man is denying the charges.

The people who were re-arrested were Nguyen Hugh Toh (28) and Do Ti Hao (38), both of whom are Vietnamese nationals and in Isesaki City, Gunma Prefecture.

According to police, the two sneaked into a pear garden in Kamikawa-cho with two friends last September and are suspected of stealing 182 pears worth about 70,000 yen.

A suspicious car was left unattended at the scene, and police investigated it and found that two people were in the car, which was captured by a nearby security camera.

The two were arrested last month on suspicion of violating the Immigration Control Act and have since been charged.

According to the police investigation, Doe admitted that he had been invited by a friend to steal, but Nguyen denied the charges.

Police are investigating the whereabouts of their peers and investigating whether they are related to the successive theft of pears in Saitama Prefecture.
