Tension remains high in Tunisia after a fourth night of clashes in several cities, where young people targeted the police mobilized to enforce the curfew linked to the coronavirus pandemic.

Since the 2011 revolution, Tunisia has moved towards democracy, but economic problems have worsened, and the country is now on the verge of bankruptcy.

The analysis by Vincent Geisser, researcher at the Institute for Research and Studies on the Arab and Muslim Worlds (Iremam) in Aix-en-Provence.
