The "hotline" aid in "Emirates Today" newspaper during the past year amounted to 9 million 140 thousand and 746 dirhams, provided through donors, associations and charitable organizations, to alleviate the pain and suffering of 1869 beneficiaries, compared to the aid in 2019, which amounted to 30 million, 834 thousand and 374 dirhams, It was distributed to 227 beneficiaries, bringing the total aid of the "hotline" since its inception 12 years ago to 315 million, 301 thousand and 68 dirhams, distributed among 5722 beneficiaries and four institutions.

The sick cases received the largest share of this aid, with a value of five million and 164 thousand and 954 dirhams, distributed over 90 sick cases, compared to the aid for sick cases in 2019, which amounted to four million, 163 thousand and 513 dirhams, distributed over 86 sick cases, while 17 Insolvent prisoners ranked second, with a value of two million 135 thousand and 366 dirhams.

The initiative (reunification) with Dubai Police came in third place, with a value of 700,000 dirhams, distributed among 613 deported prisoners.

And in fourth place is the "Sanadcom" initiative with the Faraj Fund, with a value of 575 thousand and 935 dirhams, distributed among 620 beneficiaries of the initiative.

And in the last place came aid for humanitarian cases that are going through difficult living conditions, rent arrears, and tuition fees, and they received a share of aid in the amount of 564 thousand and 491 dirhams, distributed over 25 humanitarian cases.

The "hotline" aid in 2009 amounted to three million 598 thousand and 111 dirhams, and the aid in 2010 amounted to four million and 640 thousand and 984 dirhams, of which 223 cases benefited. In 2011, the amount of aid reached 42 million 759 thousand and 729 dirhams, of which 281 benefited. The aid amounted to 18,453,759 dirhams in 2012, from which 706 cases benefited.

In 2013, the "hotline" aid amounted to 47 million 312 thousand and 158 dirhams, from which 439 cases and institutions benefited. In 2014 the aid amounted to 28 million and 244 thousand and 414 dirhams, distributed over 472 cases, and the aid in 2015 amounted to 26 million and 699 thousand and 196 Dirhams benefited 499 cases and institutions, and in 2016 the volume of aid reached 17 million, 508 thousand and 797 dirhams, 368 cases benefited, and the aid in 2017 amounted to 39 million and 459 thousand and 797 dirhams, distributed among 406 people and institutions, and the aid in 2018 amounted to 46 One million and 834 thousand and 374 dirhams, distributed to 96 beneficiaries and institutions, and finally, the aid in 2019 amounted to 30 million and 834 thousand and 374 dirhams, distributed to 227 beneficiaries.

The "hotline" aid was distributed to different nationalities, divided into 864 citizens and six Gulf nationals, 404 from Arab countries, 399 from Asian countries, and 196 from other nationalities.

The head of the "Hotline" division in "Emirates Today", colleague Ahmed Al-Muzahmi, stated that during the year 2020 the "hotline" received eight million 16 thousand and 76 dirhams from donors to help 1,356 sick and humanitarian cases, face difficult living conditions, and released Insolvent prisoners, and the "hotline" received aid amounting to one million 124 thousand and 670 dirhams from charitable and private institutions, distributed to 513 humanitarian cases.

He added that the aid of the Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation through the "hotline" last year ranked first in assisting 500 citizen families with food and Ramadan goods, and in second place the Dubai Islamic Bank provided an amount of 617 thousand and 908 dirhams, divided into five Humanitarian cases, and finally the Friday of Beit al-Khair came in third place, as it provided 506 thousand and 762 dirhams, distributed among eight cases of citizens.

Al-Muzahmi pointed out that the aid provided to sick humanitarian cases last year amounted to one million 263 thousand and 378 dirhams, distributed to 26 sick cases in Tawam Hospital, and 19 sick cases in Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City in Abu Dhabi, at 719 thousand and 589 dirhams, and the assistance of two cases in Cleveland Hospital. The initiative to release seven citizens from the prosecution in cooperation with the Dubai Courts came in third place, with an amount of 406 thousand and 762 dirhams, and the initiative (Al-Mir Ramadan) to help 200 citizen families from the families of the prosecution came in fourth place, and finally the initiative (foodstuffs) in cooperation with the Sheikh Foundation Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan for Humanitarian Works to help 300 citizen families.

Al-Muzahmi confirmed that the newspaper had previously signed an agreement with the Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities in Dubai in managing the bank account of the "hotline".

Sabiha Al Ketbi, the recruitment specialist in the Hotline Division, said that “(the hotline) helped 270 citizens obtain job opportunities in the government and private sectors in the Emirates from (2009 to 2020), and over the past years it launched initiatives.
