At 7:8 on January 18, the 119 Command Center of the Guilin Fire Rescue Detachment, Guangxi received an alarm from the public that a fire broke out in a four-story brick-concrete house in Xingfa Lane, Lipu City, Guilin, and some people were trapped.
After receiving the alarm, the local fire department rushed to the scene.
At 7:20, when the fire rescue personnel arrived at the scene, they found that the burning building was the furniture and sundries in the corridor on the first floor of a residential house. The burning sundries produced a lot of dense smoke, causing 5 people upstairs to be trapped.
The on-site commander immediately issued operational orders to deal with the situation in groups. One group sent out 2 water cannons to extinguish the fire to control the spread of the fire, and the other group searched and rescued the fired floors, and arranged personnel to evacuate and alert residents around the burning building.
From 7:25 to 7:32, fire rescue personnel searched and rescued 5 people trapped in the dense smoke.
At 7:50, the fire was successfully extinguished.
