Around midnight on January 18, snow fell in Beijing.
According to the Beijing Meteorological Bureau, on January 19, light snow or sporadic light snow will continue until around noon, and most areas will add 0.1-0.2 mm of snowfall; the western and northern piedmont and shallow mountainous areas will still have significant snowfall, with new snowfall. The amount is 0.2 ~ 0.3 mm.
In addition, due to snowfall, the highest temperature in the plain area during the day is about -2°C, and the lowest temperature at night is about -7°C.
The weather turned fine on the 20th and the temperature gradually picked up.
This is the first snowfall in Beijing city in 2021!
