The reporter learned today from the fourth press conference of the emergency rescue headquarters for the explosion accident of the Wucalong gold mine in Qixia, Shandong: The initial section of the No. 3 borehole was drilled from the Sixth Institute of Geology and Mine of Shandong to 521 meters. The deviation was measured by 7.3 meters, and the deviation was corrected. Later, the National Mine Tunnel Emergency Rescue Geodesy Task Force conducted a directional penetration at 13:55 on January 17, and first contacted the underground personnel by knocking on the pipe.

After contacting, it was initially confirmed that there are 11 people in the fifth middle section, 1 in the sixth middle section, and 10 people are unclear.

Taking into account that the underground personnel have been trapped for more than 7 days and their bodies are very weak, after the expert group has demonstrated, the headquarters decided to start the provision of supplies first.

Up to now, supplies have been administered twice and medicines have been administered once. The two batches of supplies can meet the two-day survival needs of underground personnel.

The command headquarters set up a life channel liaison and protection team, with Chen Fei, deputy secretary of the Yantai Municipal Party Committee and Mayor, as the team leader. Public security, fire protection, medical, and communications personnel are on duty 24 hours a day to ensure the health of the trapped people at any time.
