“On January 18, 2021, at the age of 71, Rafael Maratovich Dayanov, architect-restorer, honorary restorer of St. Petersburg, died,” the Union of City Restorers said on VKontakte.
Dayanov taught at the Ilya Repin Institute of the Russian Academy of Arts and the International Academy of Architecture in Moscow.
He had the state awards "Honored Builder of Russia" and "Honorary Architect of Russia".
In November, the death of the People's Architect of Russia, Honorary President of the St. Petersburg Union of Architects Vladimir Popov was reported.
