DJ Bob Sinclar regrets the lack of consideration given to the nightlife since the start of the health crisis.

At the microphone of Europe 1, he explains that he is confident about the return of the public to discotheques and festivals at the end of the crisis: "People will want to dance", he judges.

Bob Sinclar was not idle during the first confinement.

Every night for 55 days, he found millions of people for virtual booms from his Paris apartment.

"Fortunately there were DJs, musicians and actors during the confinements to support everyone", he judges today.

The star DJ explains, at the microphone of Europe 1, how he sees the coming months for his sector of activity particularly affected by the health crisis.

"It's like we don't exist"

"I am worried about the artistic world in general and not just the nightclubs," argues Bob Sinclar.

Indeed, the discos have still not reopened since the evening of March 14, 2020.

Since then, professionals in the sector regret not having had words of support from the government.

"We are absolutely not considered, I have not heard the word 'DJ' once for a year. It's as if we did not exist," judge Bob Sinclar.

An uncertain recovery date

From now on, the date of resumption of their activity is very uncertain.

A 6 p.m. curfew was introduced this Saturday and suggests that the wait may still be long.

"I'm not worried because I know that people will want to dance and that when everything reopens, it will be extraordinary", assures the DJ, before adding: "But I am a little annoyed".

In an interview given on January 8 on Franceinfo, the Minister of Culture Roselyne Bachelot nevertheless wanted to send a message of hope: "The vaccination will gain momentum, the climatic conditions will be better, we will have a better knowledge of viruses ... The virus is unpredictable but I want to send a message of hope: festivals, and in particular summer festivals, I am confident. We must be able to do it. We keep our fingers crossed. "
