The illegal importation of often toxic plastic waste continues to pollute Malaysian air and soil, damaging the health of its inhabitants.

But while Interpol noted, in 2020, a sharp increase in crime linked to plastic waste, outlawed industrialists continue to take advantage of the inability to properly recycle a large part of plastic waste, and have just, over the years , learned to be more discreet.
