Aomori Prefecture announced that it has been confirmed that one person living outside the prefecture within the jurisdiction of Goshogawara Health Center is newly infected with the new coronavirus.
The prefecture acknowledged that a new cluster had formed because it had participated in funeral events such as funerals and legal affairs with six people who had been confirmed to be infected inside and outside the prefecture.
The total number of people confirmed to be infected in the prefecture is 644, including those who have already recovered and those who have died.
