NHK conducted a public opinion poll on changes in life and consciousness caused by the new coronavirus.

About 20% of the respondents had more time to do housework, but by gender, the percentage of women who increased was higher.

From November 4th to December 7th last year, NHK conducted a pollster by mail to 3,600 people aged 18 and over nationwide, and received responses from 2,331 people, or 64.8%.



Of these, when asked if there was any change in family relationships compared to before the spread of the infection,

Regarding changes in child-rearing time,

▽ 55% of respondents do not raise children.



By gender, the percentage of women who have more time to raise children is higher. By


age group, 19% of women are 18 to 39 years old, 13% are men, and


17% are women in their 40s and 50s. , Men were 10%.
