The Commissioner’s Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Hong Kong: US intervention and sanctions cannot stop Hong Kong from chaos to governance and China’s development and growth

In response to the US announcement of the so-called "sanctions" on six central government and Hong Kong SAR government officials, a spokesperson for the Commissioner's Office of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Hong Kong) said on the 16th Great indignation and firm opposition, strongly condemned.
The spokesperson pointed out that it is an international practice to formulate and implement laws to punish crimes that endanger national security.
The Chinese government has formulated the Hong Kong National Security Law in strict accordance with the Chinese Constitution, Legislative Law, and Hong Kong Basic Law to provide a solid guarantee for the stability and long-term development of "One Country, Two Systems".
The Hong Kong National Security Law fully protects the rights and freedoms enjoyed by Hong Kong residents in accordance with the law.
The United States itself has established a strict legal system to maintain national security, but it has arbitrarily interfered and vilified China's legislation on its own land to prohibit just actions that endanger national security, which once again exposed the notorious double standards of the United States.
The spokesman emphasized that China is a country under the rule of law and Hong Kong is a society under the rule of law.
No one has the right and freedom to endanger national security and to be above the law.
The persons involved instigated illegal "primary elections" seriously undermined the fairness and justice of the SAR Legislative Council elections, blatantly attempted to paralyze the Hong Kong SAR government, and were suspected of violating the Hong Kong National Security Law.
They are by no means "pro-democracy politicians and activists" that individual Western politicians whitewash and beautify.
Officials of the Central Government and the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government are performing their duties in accordance with the law. They are firmly upholding the rule of law in Hong Kong, the overall interests of the society, and the fundamental well-being of the people. It is obvious to all and cannot be questioned.
The spokesperson said that the general public of Hong Kong applauded the major transition from chaos to governance after the implementation of the Hong Kong National Security Law and the return of "One Country, Two Systems" to the right track. Some US politicians repeated their old tricks, stigmatizing and demonizing the Hong Kong National Security Law, and slandered the SAR The government’s legitimate enforcement actions and the promotion of sanctions against Chinese officials are a wanton destruction of Hong Kong’s rule of law and a high degree of autonomy, a blatant provocation to the Chinese government and people to safeguard the legitimate interests of the country, and a gross violation of international law and basic norms of international relations.
They fear that Hong Kong will not be chaotic, and that China's sinister intentions will be exposed.
The spokesman reiterated that Hong Kong is China's Hong Kong and Hong Kong affairs are purely China's internal affairs.
Any intervention and sanctions will only make the Chinese people more united, and will be resolutely hit back by all the Chinese people, including Hong Kong compatriots, and cannot shake China’s firm will to safeguard national sovereignty, security, development interests and Hong Kong’s prosperity and stability. The general trend of Hong Kong’s transformation from chaos to governance and China’s growth cannot be stopped.
