The regional elections should be held in June if the health situation does not require them to be postponed once again.
An uncertainty on the date which does not invite the candidates to declare themselves.
A name does however circulate in the Republic in March, that of Jean-Michel Blanquer.

Valérie Pécresse, outgoing president of the Ile-de-France region who would like to reinstate for a second term, a determined opponent with a potential presidential ambition.
A real challenge for the Minister of National Education who has so far never gone through the election box.
A challenge to which he does not say no moreover… When questioned, Jean-Michel Blanquer does not elude and replies: “

".
Real desire or sense of duty?
Does Jean-Michel Blanquer act out of desire or a sense of duty?
Certainly a bit of both.
Going for the electoral dubbing, rubbing shoulders with the suffrage of the citizens, it is undoubtedly an ambition of Jean-Michel Blanquer who now wants to play in the big political bath.

And there, nothing seems definitively settled for the Minister of National Education who also mentions the next legislative elections.

So for the moment, he agrees to play the role of a call product for the Republic on the Move whose strategy could be to try to reach agreements with outgoing Macron-compatible region presidents, on the right but deemed "

” like Renaud Muselier in Provence-Alpes -Côte d'Azur or Valérie Pécresse in Ile-de-France.
Moreover Jean-Michel Blanquer explains that his objective is not "
to campaign against Pécresse
" but to prepare a project.
Jean-Michel Blanquer even sees himself as complementary with the outgoing one: “

”.
As if already, he only envisaged the future in an alliance.
