On January 15, the reporter visited and learned that this is a pilot red light warning system used by the Nanning Traffic Police Department to capture and expose pedestrian red light violations.
[Explanation] According to the traffic police department, the automatic red-light warning system for pedestrians launched in this trial integrates six functions including crosswalk signal lights, warning slogans, motor vehicle warning lights, pedestrian red-light capture system, intelligent pedestrian request system, and voice prompt system. .
When the red light of the pedestrian signal light is on, and if the pedestrian goes 1 to 2 meters through the red light, the system will automatically detect the red light running and trigger an alarm.

When the pedestrian reaches 1 to 2 meters, it will issue a voice prompt saying: You have run through the red light, please return to the safety island.

[Explanation] According to the traffic police department, this system also has advanced image processing technology. Even if it encounters severe weather such as strong wind and rain, it will not escape its "legend".
In addition, this automatic red-light early warning system for pedestrians can not only effectively warn pedestrians of illegal red-light violations, but also analyze pedestrian traffic through data, link signals to optimize timing plans, and improve intersection traffic efficiency.
