, a play by Samuel D. Hunter that was widely acclaimed by critics when it was presented in 2012 in New York.
The plot features Charlie, a morbidly obese middle-aged man who attempts to reconnect with his 17-year-old daughter after abandoning his family for his since-deceased gay lover.
The director of
Black Swan
and
Requiem for a Dream
will also produce the footage via his production company Protozoa Pictures in collaboration with A24 which owns the rights to the piece.
