According to the website of the Central Meteorological Observatory, it is expected that the daily average or minimum temperature will drop by 6-10℃ from January 16 to 17 in the central and eastern Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, most of the southwestern region, central and southern Jiangnan, and southern China. , Among them, the temperature drop in eastern Yunnan, most of Guizhou and southwestern Jiangnan can reach more than 10℃.

From the 16th to the 17th, there was light to moderate rain (snow) or sleet in the east and south of Southwest China, Jianghan, the west and north of Jiangnan, and the west of South China, with heavy snow on the ground.

Cold air continues to affect our country

  It is expected that from January 16 to 17, the daily average or minimum temperature in the central and eastern Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, most of the southwestern region, central and southern Jiangnan, and southern China will drop by 6-10℃. Among them, eastern Yunnan, most of Guizhou, and southwestern Jiangnan, etc. The ground temperature can reach more than 10℃.

The cold wave has a large drop in temperature, but the temperature in most areas will be higher than the cold wave from January 6 to 8.

After the cold wave, the 0°C line of the lowest temperature will press south from southern Jiangnan to northern South China, and the -10°C line is located on the line from central Hebei to southwest Shanxi to central Shaanxi.

The central and eastern parts of the Northwest, the central and western parts of Inner Mongolia, and most of the central and eastern regions have winds of force 4-6 and gusts of force 7-8.

The Central Meteorological Observatory continued to issue a blue cold wave warning at 06:00 on January 16.

  In addition, from the 16th to the 17th, there were light to moderate rain (snow) or sleet in the east and south of Southwest China, Jianghan, the west and north of Jiangnan, and the west of South China, with heavy snow on the ground.

Strong winds in the eastern and southern seas

  It is estimated that affected by the cold air, from day to night on the 16th, there will be north to northwest winds of magnitude 7-8 and gust 9 in the southern Yellow Sea, most of the East China Sea, Taiwan, east of Taiwan, Bashi Channel, northern and central South China Sea. Among them, the winds of the Taiwan Strait, the east of Taiwan, and the Bashi Strait can reach 9 levels and 10 gusts.

From day to night on the 17th, there will be 7 to 8 west to northwest winds in the eastern part of the Yellow Sea and 9 gusts, and 7 to most of the East China Sea, Taiwan Strait, east of Taiwan, Bashi Strait, most of the South China Sea, and Beibu Gulf. The northerly to northeast winds of magnitude 8 and gust 9 are winds. The wind force in the Taiwan Strait, Bashi Strait and the central and eastern parts of the South China Sea can reach magnitude 9 and gust 10.

The Central Meteorological Observatory continued to issue sea wind forecasts at 06:00 on January 16.

Specific forecast for the next three days

  From 08:00 on January 16 to 08:00 on 17th, some areas in northeastern Inner Mongolia, northwestern Heilongjiang, eastern Tibet, northern Qinghai, southern Gansu, western Sichuan plateau, Guizhou, and central and northern Hunan had light to moderate snow or rain. Snow, heavy snow on the ground.

There was light rain in parts of the eastern and southern parts of Southwest China, Jianghan, and western South China, and local moderate rain.

In parts of central and western Tibet, central and eastern parts of the northwest, western Inner Mongolia, northern China, Jianghan, and northern Jiangnan, there are winds of force 4-6, and winds of force 7-8 in some areas.

  From 08:00 on January 17 to 08:00 on the 18th, there was light snow or sleet in parts of central and eastern Inner Mongolia, most of Northeast China, western Hunan, southeast of southwestern China and other places. Among them, southern Sichuan Plateau, southern Sichuan, and northeastern Yunnan There is moderate to heavy snow (5-8mm) in some parts.

There was light rain in parts of the southeastern Sichuan Basin, most of Yunnan, Hainan Island, Taiwan Island and other places.

There are 5 to 7 winds in parts of southwestern Inner Mongolia, central Tibet, and eastern Zhejiang (see Figure 4).

  From 08:00 on January 18 to 08:00 on the 19th, there was light snow or sleet in parts of central Inner Mongolia, eastern Heilongjiang, eastern Jilin, southeastern Tibet, northern Hebei, and southern Sichuan plateau.

There was light to moderate rain in parts of southeastern Tibet, southern Sichuan Plateau, western Yunnan and other places.

There are 6 to 7 winds in parts of central Tibet, Liaodong Peninsula, Shandong Peninsula and other places (see Figure 5).

Influence and concern

  1. On 16-17, the cold wave continued to affect the areas south of the Yangtze River in my country. Pay attention to the adverse effects of high winds and temperature, rain and snow on epidemic prevention and control, energy supply, transportation, and agricultural production;

  2. Gale weather and adverse effects in the eastern and southern sea areas.
