Mourning for Siegfried Fischbacher: According to consistent media reports, the magician died in the USA at the age of 81.

Born in Rosenheim, he became known together with his life business partner Roy Horn as the magician duo Siegfried and Roy.
The two native Germans set up a tiger breed in the USA and performed in Las Vegas for decades.
Just recently the "Bild" newspaper reported that Fischbacher had been diagnosed with cancer (pancreatic cancer) in an advanced stage.
After a final operation, Fischbacher returned to his home, the “Little Bavaria” estate in Las Vegas, where he also died.
Asleep “softly and peacefully”

In the death report, "Bild" referred to Fischbacher's sister, the Munich-based nun, Sister Dolore.
"He fell asleep gently and peacefully," she told the newspaper about her 81-year-old brother.
His partner Roy Horn - he suffered serious health problems after an attack by the tiger Montecore on the open stage in 2003 - died on May 8, 2020 in Las Vegas of complications from corona.
Siegfried and Roy had risen to become the world's most famous magician duo in the 1960s.
From 1990 they were part of the program of the famous Mirage Hotel in Las Vegas, where they always played with their white tigers in front of a sold out house.
After the dramatic accident in 2003, the two had largely withdrawn from the public.
