The coronavirus vaccination campaign continues to accelerate in France.

From this Thursday, those over 75 can make an appointment to be vaccinated, by phone or on the Internet.

The national campaign is officially launched this Thursday, with the opening of a telephone line for making an appointment.

The map of vaccination centers must be put online during the day on the public sante.fr site, which will link to the three private platforms selected by the State for those who wish to make an appointment online.

They are Doctolib, Keldoc and Maiia.

However, it will be necessary to arm yourself with a little patience because the site is greatly slowed down.

First injection

According to the latest report, more than 247,000 people have received their first injection, while France had last week one million doses of the Pfizer / BioNTech vaccine.

The figures have accelerated sharply after the opening of vaccination to health professionals, firefighters, and home helpers over 50 years or at risk.

As of Tuesday morning, less than 30,000 elderly residents of nursing homes had received the vaccine.

In front of the senators, Jean Castex vigorously defended Wednesday the French strategy by urging not to "self-flag", while increasing the calls for patience.

About 20,000 new cases are recorded each day, far from the 5,000 expected by the government in mid-December.

On Wednesday, more than 23,000 contaminations were recorded in 24 hours and hospital pressure does not weaken, according to data from Public Health France.
