  Liao Ziwen, 17 years old at the time of the crime, is 18 years old. He was suspected of possessing petrol bomb raw materials in a building in Wan Chai on September 30, 2019. He was also charged with four other defendants Deng Tiran, Zheng Jin, Zheng Zihao and Li Weilong. A crime of conspiracy to endanger life and arson.

The second count of possession of objects with intent to destroy or damage property is an alternate charge of the first count.

They were previously convicted of "organizing others to cross the border" and "stealing across the border" in the Mainland. They were sentenced to 3 years in prison and fined 2 Ten thousand yuan, seven months in prison, and a fine of 10,000 yuan. He is currently serving his sentence.

Liao, Deng and Zheng were also absent from the Hong Kong District Court and had their guarantees cancelled and an arrest warrant issued earlier.
