Three years ago, a police box in Toyama City was attacked and a fist gun was robbed, killing two people including a police officer and a nearby guard, a former self-defense officer accused of murder-robbery. The lay judge trial of Defendant Keidai Shimazu (24) will begin on the 14th.

The guard's wife spoke to NHK about her thoughts before the trial.

Three years ago, in June, at the Okuda police box in Toyama City, Kenichi Inaizumi (46), who was an assistant police officer at the time, was attacked by a knife and killed, and Shinichi Nakamura (68), a security guard who was in front of the school gate of a nearby elementary school. ) Was shot and killed by a stolen pistol.

Before the first trial, Mr. Nakamura's wife in her 50s responded to an interview with NHK.

My days with my happy husband suddenly ended, such as going to support my grandson's soccer during the holidays.

My wife said to her husband, "I always feel by my side, but I still don't. I want you to hear more about me."

To find out "why my husband had to die," my wife used the victim participation system to repeatedly browse the documents of difficult cases to remember.

I've always wanted the defendant to "hate me so much that I want to kill him" and "I want him to be sentenced to death." I caught my eye in my life.

Despite his hatred, his wife said he wanted to know more about why the incident happened and why he couldn't stop it. "I'm not forgiving him. I wonder how the environment that led to the crime was. If there was any chance, I didn't have to cause such an incident, and Mr. Inaizumi and my husband didn't have to die. Isn't it? "

At the trial, the wife will stand in court and speak as a bereaved family, saying, "I want you to understand how painful and painful we have been so far. If you don't know that, I don't want to be killed (being sentenced to death). I want you to tell me exactly what you need to say. "

The criminal liability of the defendant is expected to be an issue in the trial, and the judgment will be handed down on March 5.
