[Explanation] In the severe winter season of 2021, the construction site of the Lhasa-Nyingchi section of the new Sichuan-Tibet Railway will be bitterly cold.

Li Jiangwen, who was born in 1996, went out early and returned late together with his workers, still sticking to the front line of construction. He has been involved in the construction of Lalin Railway for 4 years.

  Li Jiangwen told reporters that he came to Tibet in the footsteps of the builders of the Qinghai-Tibet Railway. With the dedication of his predecessors, he devoted himself to the construction of the Lalin Railway.

  Our company has this tradition and has participated in the construction of the Qinghai-Tibet Railway before.

The Qinghai-Tibet Railway that our predecessors have built, I also want to build this Lalin section of the Sichuan-Tibet Railway, so that I can grow in my own life.

  [Explanation] Li Jiangwen said that there were many experiences, challenges and difficulties in the construction of the plateau railway, which left unforgettable memories for the builders.

For him, the most memorable thing is the pain when the wind and sand hit his face. It is the firmness to stick to the front line in the heavy snow and the persistence and dedication to guarding the track laying site with the workers for 48 hours.

  What moved me most was that two days before we laid the main line, we laid the second team leader Nie Yongjun. He stayed at the construction site for two days and nights without going back. He was hungry. Just eat anything, just to solve (understand) the on-site safety and progress issues in time. Once there is a problem, it will be resolved immediately. This is very touched by me. I did not return to the dormitory for two days and two nights.

  [Explanation] According to reports, in the daily construction process, sudden changes in the weather, sandstorms, heavy rain, and heavy snow on the plateau often impede and test the construction of the Lalin Railway.

  If we are working on it here, there may be (blowing) a level 7 or 8 wind, mixed with sand and dust, and it blows over. After it blows over, it hurts this face. I have never remembered it until now.

In addition, during the construction process, there was a heavy snowfall in the sky. In just half an hour, the snow reached 10 cm thick. The eyes and eyebrows were covered with frost.

  [Commentary] Li Jiangwen told reporters that Tibet is the place he yearns for. Therefore, in the construction of the Lalin Railway, he devoted all his feelings to every bridge and every row of tracks, and his persistence is also inseparable from his family. Silent support and dedication.

  I will always stick to the first line of Lalin railway construction. After the whole line is opened to traffic, I want to take my fiancee and take the (train) from Lhasa to Linzhi, and tell her about our experience along the way. We construct the first line Some short stories, and our colleagues' not easy.

  [Explanation] The Lalin Railway started construction at the end of 2014. The main line is 435.5 kilometers in length, and the newly-built main line is 403.1 kilometers. It is a single-track electrified Class I railway with a design speed of 160 kilometers per hour.

The total construction period of the whole line is 7 years, and the total estimated investment in the preliminary design is 36.674 billion yuan.
