On January 12, the Press Office of the People's Government of Fujian Province held a press conference on the discovery of dinosaur footprint group fossils in Shanghang, Longyan, Fujian in Fuzhou.
In Lincheng Town, Shanghang County, Longyan City, Fujian Province, the Late Cretaceous dinosaur footprint group fossils were discovered on November 7, 2020. More than 240 dinosaur footprint fossils were excavated for the first time.
This is the largest and most diverse Late Cretaceous dinosaur footprint group discovered in China so far, and it is also the first record of dinosaur activity in Fujian Province.
