The WHO team of experts, responsible for investigating the origin of the coronavirus, will begin its ultra sensitive visit to Beijing on Thursday, anxious to exclude any responsibility for the epidemic which has made more than 1.9 million deaths in the world.

The authorities do not miss an opportunity to cast doubts on the Chinese origin of the virus, when they had initially blamed a market in Wuhan where live animals were sold.

Is China finally ready to play the game of transparency on the origins of Covid-19?

Analysis by Jean-François Di Meglio, professor at Paris Dauphine University, president of the Asia Center research institute and of the Asia Trends publication.
