Emirati Hind Al Sharif's interest in perfumes began at an early age, as she loves perfumes and their rich and varied worlds, and when she decided to enter this field, she had to search for her own touch and distinctive idea, to find in her passion for poetry a way to this distinction, as she began to find combinations that combine the scent of perfume with derived meanings. Of distinctive and selected poems and verses from the poems of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai.

Hind issued her own license at the age of 17 years, and she combined her love for poetry and fragrant scents in the perfumes she produces, and named her perfumes the names of the poems of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, which made her unique.

Hind studies health facilities management and is working on managing her project, which she aspires to be global, considering that it is possible to overcome many challenges through excellence and good marketing.

Hind told Emirates Today: “I got a license for my perfume project and I was 17 years old, and I had to take my father’s approval to be able to do that, because I was not up to the legal age. As for the funding, I was able to provide it through personal savings in addition to Help my mother and father. ”

Al-Sharif pointed out that she launched her brand through a special platform on the «Instagram».

10 types

Hind perfumes are distinguished by being made from French oils that were specially formulated in France, noting that they launched the perfumes produced by the names of the poems of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, as it has produced to date 10 types of perfumes, all of which are named after his poems, When the buyer receives the perfume bottle, he will find it attached to a card containing the verse and the name of the poem from which the fragrance was inspired. As for linking perfumes to poetry, it is a result of Hind's love for poetry and writing, especially the poetry of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, so the poems were expressive of the perfume content.

Hind studied the local market, the community’s taste and what they want from perfumes before launching her project, noting that she worked to integrate what people like and the desired scents in the local market with her own touch in perfume, and pay attention to many important factors in the manufacture of perfume, including the stability of the fragrance The durability and quality of its scent, especially since the perfume field carries a large number of brands, and for this the challenge of proving their presence in the market requires excellence.

Challenges

As for the biggest challenge that Hind faced, is that this field has great competition, and therefore she had to prepare to face various challenges, especially when introducing the first perfume that will leave the basic impression on people, either it raises the level of the following perfumes or adversely affects the overall image of the brand .

Hind noted that in the beginning she was installing perfumes at home with the choice of ingredients and merging them with the weight on the scale, considering that this initial method is wrong, because in the world of perfumes it is necessary to work with factories, so the composition of perfumes is very accurate, and the simple error in the ingredients results in a completely different perfume, and for this Must be committed with the factories.

Regarding the challenges of manufacturing perfumes in the factory, Al-Sharif assured that it is more expensive, but the support from her parents is the basis that enabled her to establish her own business, and that she is working on perfecting what she does completely.

Corona thwarted

Al-Sharif was supposed to launch her project in March 2020, but the Corona pandemic postponed the launch of the brand, which caused India to become frustrated and fearful, but during that period she worked on the quality of products, and launched it four months later, explaining that she was able within a few months to reach To a large number of consumers.

She indicated that the starting point bears many difficulties, including providing what is of high quality, especially as there is a fear of testing the products offered through social media platforms.

As for marketing through these platforms, it is not easy, although there are steps that enable one to reach the largest number of audiences through influencers.

study and work

Hind Al-Sharif is studying health services management at the university, and at the same time she is establishing her own project, so the combination of study and work was a source of fear in the beginning, noting that her major at the university is management, and it requires a lot of time but allows her to learn how to manage her time and effort in the right place.

She noted that the strategic plan to ensure the success of the project is very important for five years, explaining that it aspires to reach international brands in the field of perfumes, with aspirations to open other projects.
