Previously, the Guangzhou Intermediate People's Court made a first-instance judgment on the defendants Xu Weihong (Canadian) and Wen Guanxiong in the drug manufacturing case on August 6, 2020, and sentenced Xu Weihong to death for manufacturing drugs and confiscated all personal property; he sentenced Wen Guanxiong to life. Imprisonment, deprivation of political rights for life, and confiscation of all personal property.
