Fukuroda Falls, a tourist attraction in Daigo Town, Ibaraki Prefecture, has frozen to about 90% and is showing a mysterious appearance while the cold weather continues.

Fukuroda Falls is 120 meters high and 73 meters wide, and is also called "Fukuroda Falls" because water flows down four steps over a large rock wall.

In Daigo Town, where the severe cold has continued recently, the lowest temperature was minus 8.9 degrees Celsius on the morning of the 11th, and about 90% of the waterfalls were frozen.

According to Daigo Town, it was frozen by about 50% last year, but this winter is severely cold, and we can expect a full freeze for the first time in nine years since 2012.
