In Riom (Puy-de-Dôme), the Pierre Joël Bonté high school closed its doors on Monday because of “insults and death threats” targeting teachers and supervisors.
A high school student from the establishment is in custody.
An investigation entrusted to the Clermont-Ferrand police station was opened for "death threats under conditions", told AFP the public prosecutor Eric Maillaud.
The high school student in custody is 15 years old, he said.

Another student had been taken into custody this weekend but it was lifted, according to the prosecutor.
The first messages sent last week to teachers and education advisers were "pornographic" and then turned this weekend into "threats of violence, rape and death", he said.
A last message included as an attachment an image related to jihadism "as it is found everywhere", he added, dismissing for the moment the terrorist nature of these threats.
The messages were all sent by email via the ENT, the National Education communication tool allowing establishments to communicate with families.
