Two people were taken into custody and seventeen others arrested this Saturday, for having gathered where a demonstration in support of the organizers of the illegal rave party organized in Lieuron (Ille-et-Vilaine) was to be held in the occasion of the New Year, indicated the prefecture of Brittany.

Two AFP journalists did not see any gathering at Place de la République where the demonstration was initially scheduled to take place between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.

Banned by the prefecture, it was canceled Friday evening by the organizers in the face of "threats of criminal sanctions".
