A special police task force freed a 22-year-old woman on Thursday morning in Warburg, Westphalia, who had apparently been abducted.

This was announced by the Höxter district police authority.

Numerous officials were involved in the operation around 8 a.m.

Nobody was injured during the access.

The authorities assume that the woman was driven in a car to see relatives in Warburg on Wednesday.

She actually comes from northern Germany, and one had to assume that she was being held against her will in the North Rhine-Westphalian city.

Previously, "information from those affected" had been received, which indicated that the woman was "in danger," as a police spokesman said on Thursday.

Nobody was injured during the operation, it said.

The freed woman was taken to a hospital as a precautionary measure after the deployment.

The other family members, on the other hand, were taken to the police station for further investigation.

The police are investigating clues about a family matter, and the local press also wants relevant information.

Perhaps the trigger of the drama was the daughter's relationship with a man whom the Yazidi extended family did not tolerate.
