In response to the state of emergency being issued to 1 metropolitan area and 3 prefectures such as Tokyo, the metropolitan government will provide a cooperation fee of 60,000 yen a day to restaurants and karaoke shops, etc., and business hours based on the Special Measures Law In addition to requesting that the number be shortened to 8:00 pm, the business should be closed by 8:00 pm as a non-legal "call" to movie theaters and amusement facilities in order to thoroughly curb the flow of people. It is a policy to work.

Prime Minister Suga will issue a state of emergency based on the Special Measures Law on the 7th, targeting Tokyo, Saitama, Chiba, and Kanagawa prefectures.

In response to this, Governor Koike plans to request restaurants and karaoke shops to provide a daily cooperation fee of 60,000 yen to shorten business hours to 8:00 pm.

In addition, based on the government policy, the target of payment will be changed from "per business operator" to "per store" as requested by the city.

Approximately 80% of the cooperation money is covered by national grants, and the final adjustment is made so that the period of the request will be until the 7th of next month, which is the same as the declaration of emergency.

However, as the capital, from the standpoint that it is necessary to thoroughly suppress the flow of people and contact between people, not only restaurants that provide cooperation money, but also movie theaters, department stores, amusement facilities, etc. As a "call" that is not based on the law, we will work to open the business by 8:00 pm.

In addition, Governor Koike will hold an extraordinary press conference on the night of the 7th to clarify the specific response, with the intention of aligning the contents of these requests and calls in 1 metropolitan area and 3 prefectures.
