Best news of the start of the year for Monty Python fans: the cult musical from British comedy group
Spamalot is
going to be the subject of a film adaptation.
According to Deadline, Paramount has secured the rights to the show, and the film is already being written.
Second good news: Eric Idle, member of the troupe, will take care of the script, while Casey Nicholaw, the original choreographer of the Broadway show, will step behind the camera.
The purists will therefore not be lost!

», The Killer Rabbit, the Black Knight, or even the Sainte-Grenade d'Antioche.
For the moment, Paramount has not given a release date for this film which may be highly anticipated.
Deadline announces that the casting should start very soon, to go into production later this year.
