Faced with the arrival of migrants and asylum seekers, the practices of several European countries raise questions.

This is the rule that has prevailed since the start of the Covid-19 epidemic in

Italy

 : people rescued at sea are then transferred to huge ships, to be placed in medical isolation.

A system denounced by 150 Italian and international associations.

The

Greece

, one of the major gateways of asylum seekers in Europe, gagging speech in migrant camps.

Last year, a first law first required the registration of NGOs that welcome refugees and their members, and now a decree imposes a confidentiality clause on humanitarian workers.

A development which worries the Council of Experts on NGO Law, affiliated to the Council of Europe.

helps children in the Lesbos refugee camp and is currently looking for temporary accommodation for refugees who have obtained their asylum but are still waiting in Athens.

The Lipa camp in

Bosnia and Herzegovina

was burned down on December 23.

Since then, nearly a thousand migrants have survived in the rubble, in the cold, without electricity, running water or heating.

An evacuation attempt on December 30 was blocked by local authorities.

This fire reminded Europe of the fate of these refugees born at the gates of the EU, victims of the domino game of expulsions which goes from
