A former professor who was arrested in a bribery case involving the procurement of medical equipment at Mie University Hospital told the police that he had specified the performance and features in detail when submitting a request to the university for the equipment to be procured. I found out in the interview.

The equipment was bid three times, but in each case the same vendor handling the products of the bribery manufacturer participated and made a successful bid, and police said that the former professor had excluded the products of other companies I'm investigating.

Masataka Kamei, a 54-year-old professor who was the director of the clinical anesthesia department at Mie University Hospital, said in return for replacing medical equipment from other manufacturers with Nihon Kohden's products in August 200. He was arrested on the 6th on suspicion of third-party anesthesia for transferring a 10,000 yen bribe to the account of an organization for which he is the representative director.

The former professor was in a position to submit a request to the university in the plan to replace medical equipment in the hospital, but the request told the police that the performance, features, size, etc. of the equipment were specified in detail. I found out in the interview.

In each of the three bids made based on the plan, only one company that handles Nihon Kohden's products participated and all bids were successful.

The police investigated that the former professor had excluded the products of other companies by specifying the characteristics of medical equipment, and since the winning bids of the three bids are all the same as or close to the planned price, it is detailed. I am going to investigate the story.
