Yasser Abou-Chaker, who was accused of alleged child abduction in Berlin, among other things, has been free since Monday after several months in custody.

A spokeswoman for the Berlin courts confirmed this to WELT.

First RTL reported about it.

Yasser Abou-Chaker is indicted along with his brothers Arafat, Nasser and Rommel.

The rapper Bushido is co-plaintiff in the process.

The process involves, among other things, severe predatory blackmail, deprivation of liberty, dangerous bodily harm, coercion, insult and infidelity.

Yasser is also accused of taking his children with her to Berlin from Denmark in November 2018 against the will of the child's mother, who also has custody.

There were two arrest warrants against him.

The remand arrest warrant issued by the 38th criminal chamber of the Berlin regional court was suspended at the beginning of December.

An extradition arrest warrant from Denmark is also not carried out.

There is a case pending against the 39-year-old because of a knife attack.

According to WELT information, Abou-Chaker must meet strict requirements.

The member of the extended family must hand in his passport, report to the police twice a week, not leave Germany and not contact rapper Bushido.

He has also deposited 50,000 euros.

In the event of a violation, Abou-Chaker must be returned to custody.

Bushido has been testifying against the Abou-Chaker family since last fall.

He is said to have terminated his longstanding business relationship with Arafat Abou-Chaker in autumn 2017.

Abou-Chaker is said to have harassed, threatened and hit Bushido with a water bottle at a meeting.

Yasser Abou-Chaker is accused of complicity.

His release will have no impact on the process, it said on Wednesday.

Rapper Bushido spoke in court of a "forced marriage" with the clan boss Arafat.

He was forced to pay money to the family.

Overall, the rapper put his payments to Abou-Chaker at around nine million euros.

Abou-Chaker has so far been silent on the allegations.

A continuation date for the trial set for Wednesday was surprisingly postponed.

A member of the court was sick, said a spokeswoman.

The upcoming hearing on January 11th was also canceled.

It continues next Wednesday.
