Lai Xianyu, deputy director of the Beijing Municipal Development and Reform Commission, said that the construction of the “Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei on the track” is accelerating. The Beijing-Xiong Intercity has been completed and opened to traffic. The Beijing-Shenzhen high-speed railway will be officially put into operation in the near future. Time and space distance will be greatly shortened.

The entire Beijing-Xiong Intercity Line was completed and opened to traffic, and the travel time between Beijing West Railway Station and Xiong'an New District was shortened to less than 50 minutes.
Daxing Airport can reach Xiong’an New District in as fast as 19 minutes, and the Beijing-Zhangjiakou High-speed Railway Yanqing branch line is officially opened. The travel time from Beijing to Yanqing is only 26 minutes at the fastest, shortening the city of Beijing to and from the 2022 Winter Olympics in Yanqing. The Beijing-Shenzhen high-speed rail plan will be officially put into operation in the near future.
[Explanation] Lai Xianyu said that in 2021, the construction of the Beijing-Tangshan intercity and the first phase of the intercity railway connection line will continue to be accelerated, and the Fengtai Railway Station reconstruction project is planned to be completed, and the regional rail transit network will be further consolidated.
According to reports, as of the end of 2020, the operating mileage of Beijing's urban rail transit reached approximately 727 kilometers. In 2021, the construction of suburban railways will continue to be promoted to create a comprehensive transportation system with rail transit as the main body.

This year, we will continue to accelerate the construction of the Daxing Airport Line, the northern extension of the CBD line, and other lines under construction. It is planned to build the western section of Line 11, which is the Winter Olympics branch, and build the west extension of the Airport Line, and open up the remaining sections of Line 14 and Line 8 S1 line. .
The implementation of the renovation project of Fushouling Station of Metro Line 1 will also extend the service scope of Line 1 and accelerate the improvement of rail transit operation safety and service efficiency.
