[Explanation] When you walk into the teaching building of Xijiang Village Primary School in Xi'an, you can hear the cheerful laughter of the children. This is a sign of the start of the dry-land curling class.

On the ground of the long and narrow corridor, a simple curling track paved with plastic materials has become the school's most lively place in winter.

Tao Jianwen, the principal of Xijiang Village Primary School, told reporters that the school currently has more than 500 students, most of whom are children of migrant workers.

In order to allow these children to broaden their knowledge and learn more about sports, the school has successively offered sports courses such as unicycle archery and unicycle polo according to the teaching conditions and students' wishes.

With the Beijing Winter Olympics approaching, the school has recently opened a dry-field curling class, which also wants students to feel the charm of winter sports.

Recently, the school’s R&D team has organized our dry-field curling, which is to lay a curling field in the corridor under the limited conditions of using our field.

Of course, many children have not been exposed to this novel project. When the children are in physical education class, the enthusiasm is very high and very strong. They are in class, you can hear their cheers.

[Explanation] Wang Lina, a dryland curling research and development teacher at Xijiang Village Primary School, said that curling is called "chess on ice" and is an official event of the Winter Olympics.

Dry-land curling is a popular version of curling. A pulley is added under the sphere for ground sliding.

Offering dry-land curling lessons in the corridors of the teaching building is the best way for children to learn curling without ice.

Dry-land curling mainly trains children's sense of teamwork and can develop children's intelligence.

So since we started this course, children have enjoyed it very much.

This movement has also been carried out very well and it is deeply liked by teachers and students.

[Explanation] For children who have not been exposed to curling before, the rules and strategies of the competition are a bit complicated.

In their opinion, being able to walk on the track, touch the curling, and send the curling into the center of the base, no matter if the game is won or lost, they can experience a kind of happiness.

[Concurrent] Wang Ruixin, a student at Xijiang Village Primary School in Xi'an

Our project is called curling. I have studied it for a few weeks. I think this is very fun. It is to cast the pot into the base camp (base camp).

I hope I can study hard, learn (out) results, and go to the real curling (court) to play when I grow up.

[Explanation] The principal Tao Jianwen said frankly that he does not expect to train many sports talents through curling classes, but hopes that small curling can become a "seed" and slide into the hearts of children so that they can grow up Can get close to sports and love sports.
