This competition is one of the festival's initiatives in its new cycle, which has met with a great turnout from Emirati talents and residents of all nationalities.

The "Make Your Film in the Time of Corona" competition is in line with the new conditions that the world lived through with the emerging "Corona" virus, as everyone committed to preventive and precautionary measures and stay at home to limit the spread of the virus, which allowed filmmakers to benefit from the quarantine by filming a short film Its duration ranged from three to 15 minutes. Its events revolve around the details of daily life in light of the quarantine imposed by the Corona pandemic, and two prizes were allocated, the first for the best film and the second for the best idea.

The founder and director of the Al Ain Film Festival, Amer Salmeen Al Marri, explained that “the idea of ​​creating this competition came to him, as a new initiative to encourage local and resident creative talents in the UAE, to invest in home survival in making films from home, to be presented in the third session of the festival, with new and different ideas that appear Changes in the lifestyle in general ».
