The presenter of "19h45" and "66 minutes" on M6 is also a writer.

He publishes "My boy", his eighth novel.

He is on this occasion the guest Wednesday of "It feels good", the show of Anne Roumanoff, where he tells his debut on TV and the not very honest way in which he entered Canal +.

As computers begin to invade French households, Xavier de Moulins sees

 a columnist

on the program

Nulle Part Ailleurs

talking about computer innovations.

“She didn't know what she was talking about,” he recalls.

He then writes an email to the boss of Canal + Alain de Greef, to let him know that he is available for a job interview.

Revenge of the geek

"I did that and I had a date," admits Xavier de Moulins, a little ashamed.

"I was really young and stupid."

The journalist is hired and hosts the digital column he had watched at home a few days earlier.

What about its predecessor?

"She was not fired, she just did something else," he reassures.

It must be said that Xavier de Moulins mastered the subject of IT a little ahead of his time.

"I was a geek of the 2000s, even if today in 2020 I'm more of a boomer," he smiles.

Because it is now his children who have surpassed him in skills.

“My children know how to crack an iPhone, they know how to repair a computer, it's the smartphone workshop!” He laughs.

"They can do everything, they are very good."
