China News Service, Nanning, January 5 (Reporter Lin Hao) 24 years ago, a 23-year-old woman Shang and her boyfriend killed a masseur in Nanning and threw the body along the Yong River.
After committing the crime, Shangmou absconded and changed his name, married and had children.
Nanning police recently escorted the arrested Shang to the scene of the crime.
On January 5, Qingxiu Branch of Nanning Public Security Bureau notified the case.
According to the police handling the case, one day in April 1997, there was an abandoned female body on the Yongjiang River on Yuanhedi Road (now Jiangbei Avenue) in Nanning City. The police launched an investigation and found that the victim was a masseuse and quickly locked it. A couple who came to Yong from Shanxi are suspected of committing major crimes.
However, after the incident, the couple had fled Nanning.
In June of the same year, the police arrested the man Qiu at the place where he was registered.
According to Qiu's account, he and his girlfriend Shang came to Nanning from Shanxi to work together. Because of financial constraints, they wanted to make money and kill them.
On the day of the incident, Qiu and Shang asked the massage girl Afen (a pseudonym) to the rental room, strangled her to death, and robbed her of more than 1,000 yuan in cash, gold and silver jewelry and passbooks.
After committing the crime, Monk Qiu packed the corpse in a snakeskin bag and used a taxi to drag the corpse to the bank of the Yongjiang River and throw it away.
Later, the two fled to Guilin, Zhanjiang, Xi'an and other places and exchanged Afen's jewelry pawn for more than 1,000 yuan in cash, but Afen's passbook was unable to take out more than 40,000 yuan.

After Qiu and monk absconded to Xi'an, they often quarreled about trivial matters, and eventually parted ways.
Later, Qiu came to justice and was severely punished by law, but Shang did not know where he ended up.
For more than 20 years, the Criminal Investigation Detachment of Nanning Public Security Bureau and Qingxiu Public Security Bureau have never given up on hunting for Shang.
In 2020, the police found through various investigations that a woman named Wang in Liaoning Province was the suspect Shang.
Under the high pressure of the police, on December 30, 2020, Shang went to the local public security organ to surrender.
According to Shang's account, he absconded all the way after breaking up with Qiu and finally settled in Liaoning Province.
In order to avoid being arrested by the police, Shang changed his name to Wang and his household registration was changed to Liaoning Province.
In 2000, Shang married and had children in Liaoning, and then divorced. His son is 20 years old this year.
Over the years, Shang has made a living as a yoga instructor.
Currently, Shang is under criminal detention by the police on suspicion of intentional homicide.
